December 6, 2004. Crowne Plaza. Albany, New York.

Money and accountability. That's the 2005 legislative session education agenda in a nutshell. It's up to the education community to get the governor and the Legislature to do the right thing for all of New York's children!

Make your voice heard! Investment and Accountability for Student Success promises to provide a forum for all voices - policy makers, education leaders, teachers, child advocates - to take part in shaping investment and accountability strategies to lead all our children to educational excellence.

The federal No Child Left Behind Act has forced educators around the country to rethink their education programs by linking student achievement to accountability. Meanwhile, a host of states, including New York, are being forced to revamp their funding mechanisms for education to ensure all students receive the education they deserve.

If you have a stake in public education - whether your organization is an ECB member or not - then you should plan to join us for this premier policy conference that promises to shape the debate on issues for the 2005 state legislative session and beyond. Help us determine how additional resources in education coupled with higher accountability standards will result in measurable
gains in student achievement.

Participate in policy discussions that will form the basis for the Educational Conference Board's advocacy efforts on behalf of public education. As a participant, you'll also receive a copy of the final report of the conference deliberations so that your organization can plan your own advocacy strategies on these key issues that will drive the 2005 legislative session.
